Our Very Amazing Race.

Amazing Race equals Amazing FUN!

As part of our writing program, we had An Amazing Race around the school.  We had clue cards and road blocks all the works.  At the end everyone decided that this was great fun.  The purpose was to write a recount about a shared experience and the recounts have been extremely enjoyable to read.

Our second road block had has running as fast as we could.  Our very fastest Dante reads our next clue.

The race is on!

Another road block!  Sand castles.  Saved by the bad weather we return to class as winners.  Our reward 10 minutes of extra play, but on the senior adventure for extra fun!.

Living With An Open Heart.

Our school focus for this year is Living With An Open Heart.  In Term One we are doing this by welcoming everyone into our learning space.  We started this year by reading Matthew's Gospel and then creating our own open hearts.  Some of these are displayed below.

They look amazing displayed on the back wall of our classroom.  Have had some emails about making a 3D heart!  I think this would be an amazing way to start Term Two.  I will have a practice over the school holidays!  Please email any art ideas you may have.  Mrs.Smith.
